The Histories

Are there any other weird people out there who have read or are in the process of reading The Histories of Herodotus? I didn't think so.
Well, here is my review: If you want to read something that tells a lot about different cultures thousands of years ago, things that may or may not be true, this would be the book. This I can tell you- this book is way better than the Odyssey by Homer ( which I don't suggest, unless you are very, very board and have already watched two hours of the antique show on PBS ).

Have you noticed, I have finally figured out how to mark the differences in paragraphs in my blog. Me and my technological immature mind. All I had to do was go to my settings and click, this yes and no button, for some sort of indentation. As you can tell computers are really not my thing.

Thanks Giving is right around the corner. To many Thanks Giving, is all about the food and the football game, but I don't think that was what William Bradford meant it to be, when the pilgrims celebrated the first Thanks Giving. ( It was William Bradford, right?) Thanks Giving is a time in which we should thank God for the blessings He has endowed us with, through the past year, a time in which we can spend time with family and praised God for all of our blessings. I have to write a poem on the first Thanks Giving for Creative writing class, so if it is good enough our post it. Until then, God Bless.

Spoons

Hey, everyone. I hope you are all having a superb Saturday. At our house it is cleaning mania. Last night, I had a friend over and after dinner, we entertained ourselves by playing spoons with each other and my little sister. After a few rounds my dad entered the picture, and man is he competitive. He and my friend were really going at it, determined to beet the other opponent. Man, that was some aggressive spoons. After a while, my mom entered the picture. She always wins and she doesn't even try, it can be kind of annoying to the two who are breaking each others necks. Well, I have to say Natalie beet Dad by two points. WHOOOO!!!!!!! Wait tell next time, Natalie. Hahahaha!!!
Well, I plan on spending the rest of the day reading and playing the piano, Lord willing. Oh, there's a football game on. Got to go. God Bless.

Snow and the Holidays!!

Hey, everyone! Can you believe it? Thanks giving is a week from today and a few weeks after that it is Christmas. My old science teacher used to say on the first day of school that before we knew it, it would be Christmas break. Man, was she right. Although we still have another month until that break, I can't wait for it. If the one single month I have to read to humongous books for school, learn a bunch of Latin, and write a 5,000 word paper on: the comparison and contrasts of the exodus in HORSE AND HIS BOY by: C.S. Lewis and the exodus out of Egypt recorded in the 2nd book of the Bible, and how these exodus' refer to and resemble Christ's birth, ministry, death and resurrection. Wish me luck! I have no idea what I am talking about.
On the other hand it snowed on Tuesday and now we can no longer see the grass. It is 6 degrees right now and negative 3 degrees windchill!!!!!!! This is insane. Well I have to go and complete some school. God Bless.

Just a Note

Hey Everyone! How's it going?
This week I have been a basket of emotions. You wouldn't want to be living with me, that I can say for sure. I have worried about so many different problems for example: How am I ever going to get all of this school done? What is going on with my family? And lots more where that came from, but through the week God has been leaving littler places where I would least expect it. For example when I was in the dumps one of my best friends called me and cheered me up, man, I must have been a whole lot of fun to talk to. Later on the week when I was dreading a event that I had to go to on Friday, my other best friend invited me over to her house after the event. Just little things like that throughout the week. Isn't God just awesome. Well, I have to go. God Bless.

Cough, Cough; Hack, Hack; Snort, Snort

Yep, that has pretty been, much the rythmn of my life for the past five days; man, does being sick really, take you down; I was the first one, to get this particular bug in my family and it hits hard; I can't, believe it, It is only November 1 and I have already come down with, different types of flu three times, my Dad, keeps reminding, us to, wash our hands and then we wont get sick, but I have been, washing them so much they are beginning to raw, no they actually are raw, but that is a topic for a whole different blog, which I wont address today, for I don't feel like grieveing, you all with the pains of teenage hood; if that is even a word; in speech class, I am giving a speech by William, Shakespear, called Taming the Shrew, if you didn't know, this, here is a fact that, I have picked, up from studying my speech: Shakespear did not like to use peirods; he used everything but periods ,when he could get away with it; I don't think ,they had grammar ,back then because if you, look at his work, you might notice that for every period ,their is about 50, commas, to go with it; I wish I was alloud to write like that; I rather before Shakespear's style; See I have compact this whole blog into on nice knit sentence just the way Shakespear would have done it;Well, I have to go now; God Bless.
