The Art of Eating Dirt

Hey Everyone! How's it going? Well, today I had to babysit the little boy across the street. It was really crazy because Joben came over. We played play-dow, doctor (where guess who was the sick person!!!), horsy (which hurts a lot), and then they decided to run behind some bushes when I had my back turned. I spent five minutes looking for them, and when I finally found the infidels they were digging in the dirt and were eating it (at least that is my presumption because they had dirt all of their mouths and in their noses it was gross ). Well, I got the boys all cleaned up, except for the finger nails, because that is impossible. So I went to throw the wash cloth and wipes away and came back and they were back under the bush!!!!!!!!!!! By then I had had enough, I got the kid I was watching out, but Joe was another story. I ended up having to have Dan come over and drag him out and bring him home. ugh Other than that it was probably one of my best times babysitting this kid, and now I am done with money filling my pockets. oh it feels good. I am probably going to use it to get a notebook laptop computer (so I can write my papers and stuff on it).

Well, other than that there really isn't much else going on today. Sarah is at a taste test and is making mula. Cadet is on his laptop and I am on the computer. Jo is sleeping, and Lydia is at her friends. Nice and quiet........................ahhhhhh. I LOVE IT.

Ok, I can't think of anything else to blog about. Oh, Cadet (Dan) has a new blog. So check it out. Gopher_Cadet God Bless,

State Fair

Hi Everyone! Today we were supposed to go to the state fair, but my dad wasn't feeling well last night so we decided to change it to next Monday, Lord willing. Good thing to, because we are do for some really big thunderstorms and this morning there was a roll-over at the entry gate so they had to stop emitting people for a while because no one could get to the gate. My mom has decided not to go, so on Monday it will be dad, cadet, Sarah, Lydia, Joben, and me. It should be fun.

Nothing much else going on today. I have to make a few calls related to school, and I have to do my assignment book for the first week of school (I don't know when I will have down time to do it, because next week is pretty busy). I hate calling people. I never know what to say and it always comes out wrong. One time I had to call my volleyball coach and I got the message machine, so I pressed a button (thinking it was the off button) and said to my mom, "I got the answering machine, ugh, I HATE ANSWERING MACHINES!!!!!! I never know what to say." Well, the phone wasn't off, so it was recorded everything that I said. I was so embarrassed and ever since then, I have never been the same. lol

I can't think of anything more to write about, so I'll stop talking about absolutely nothing. lol I have a wonderful Thursday. God Bless,

Acts 5:41-42

Hey Everyone! I came across this verse in my devotions yesterday and it really struck me:

So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. Acts 5:41-42

Isn't that amazing, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. I never thought of it that way. Oh, how I long to say that for myself. Praise the Lord.

There really isn't much else going on around here. I was supposed to have two babysitting jobs tomorrow, but it turns out I will have only one, which kind of stinks because that would be less money coming in. Oh, last night I had this really freaky dream that I left these kids I babysit for at their house and took the baby away trying to make him go to sleep. When I got back the other kids weren't at their house, so I went frantic searching for them, finding them at Disney Land (which looked a lot like MOA) with my mom. Really strange!!!!! I really hope that never happens. lol

Oh, the room swap probably wont happen for a couple months, because my mom isn't ready to get Joben out of his crib yet. That puts a damper on things. Oh, well. Well, I have to run because it is almost supper time. God Bless,

Sick (David aren't you lucky)

Hey Everyone! Well, today has been rather uneventful. Mom, dad, cadet, Joben, and I are all sick. ugh Sarah and Lydia have already gotten over it and are very chipper people, I wish I were them.

There really isn't much going on around here. It is very lonely with out David here because he is the one that actually does things with me during the week, and he isn't going to be home for another 10 or 11 days. Some time this week we are going the family is going to be going to the State Fair. We are want to go on Thursday, so I am hoping that I don't have to babysit that day.
School is just around the corner. Cadet and his room mate went shopping last night for misc. things for their dorm. The things they got are quite hilarious. Well, at least we can say the a low budget people. In Cadet's trunk you will see four big boxes of Ramon Noodles in pre-packed bowls in a variety of different flavors, easy mac and cheese (the off brand), and other similar items. Good thing they are guys. Sadly, (I can't believe I am admitting this) I am ready for school to start. I can't wait to stop my subjects because I just love learning. :) Pathetic, I know. lol

The girls and I are hoping for a little room swap. I would really like my own room, and the girls would like a change. Also, I can be known as quite a warden. lol Well, I really can't think of anything else to right, and I need to go take some more medicine. Have a great Lord's Day. God Bless,

The Retreat

Hey Everyone! Well, I got back from the retreat late Monday evening. It was really great. The preaching was amazing and challenging (if anyone out there has been to a reformed baptist service you know what I mean). I believe fun was had by all. We played............................musical chairs!!!!!!!!!! I love that game if you haven't noticed. We stayed at a different facility, at an actual camp ground, and get this the girls cabin had air conditioning!!!!!!!!! It was great seeing everyone, and renewing old ties. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I now have about two and half weeks before s..... starts. I can't believe it. Summer has just flone (that doesn't look right) by. How sad. Actually what is even more sad is that I am looking forward to school starting, because I just love to learn!!!!!!!! :)

It's time for me to push off because I have to babysit the kids while Dan and my parents go with him to the U to get contracted with the army. God Bless

The Ride

Hey Everyone! Today Lydia, Sarah, and I rode our bikes to Target because I was really stupid on Saturday when we first went and forgot to get all the little stuff I needed for the retreat, and then grabbed some Twizzlers and Gummy Bears for the car ride. Well, while we were there we were racing the clock, because we had to get Sarah to her tennis lesson at 12:15. So I was looking for some black or brown flip-flops and Sarah and Lydia were going through all the little baskets trying to fine eights or nines (they was a great abundance of tens!!!!!! ugh) Well, it took longer than we thought it would, but I did end up finding a good pair for $4. Then we had to race around the store like crazy to get the rest of the stuff, and get a quick bite to eat at the target fast food area (which we were not impressed with). We arrived at the tennis courts ten minutes before class, and we were very satisfied with our accomplishment. lol

Well, tomorrow I have so more babysitting to do, but I don't have to start until 10:30 so that makes the morning a lot easier and I am not going crazy trying to exercise, shower, and do two lessons of math before 9:30!!!!!!! yeah

The '94 periwinkle mini-van has reached its final days. Two weeks ago my mom and I got in it to and when we turned the engine on it started to squeal really loudly and smoke started coming from the air vents and from under the hood. My dad took it in this past weekend and today we got the verdict and decided it wasn't worth paying to get it fixed. (yippee for me who wont have to drive it, but then now I probably wont have anything to drive. We'll see) It is a sad but much belated parting.

Well, I have run out of things to say so I am going to read. Oh, I recommend The Count of Monte Cristo to anyone who is looking for a really good book. It is over 1,400 pages but it is really good. It's about the sailor who was named captain over this ship but this guy who wants his position plays a nasty trick and Dante ends up in a prison in the middle of an ocean, where he try's to escape for many years, and what becomes of him. IT IS REALLY GOOD!!!!!! g2run. God Bless,
