Oliver Twist

Hey everyone!!!!!! I hope all is going well. Not much going on here. On Friday my dad rented Oliver Twist and we watched that. It was pretty good. It go me to reading the book which has been sitting on my book shelf for about a year, since I go it last year for something. I wanted it but when I started reading it I couldn't get past the fourth chapter, it was so boring, but now after seeing the movie and knowing what is going to happen, I found that all I needed to do was read another chapter and I would have gotten to all of the fun stuff. poo. Oh well. I am find out now that the movies is very accurate. On Saturday I did some chores, read and went to a my homeschool thingy pot-luck. After the dinner, me and about ten others went into a little tiny room where we played pass the trash and I doubt it. It was a lot of fun. Between the eleven of us their were four Davids in the room. That is sick!!! We couldn't even call them by their initials because their were two David P. s. Weird. On Sunday we went to church. The two sermons were very good. The first one was on some verses from John 7, and in the evening the sermon was a from 1 Timothy 6:1-2. I gained a lot. I learned that we should do everything to the best of our ability so that we would not be a cause to blaspheme God ( people wouldn't after watching us see how poorly we work and blame it on being a Christiand and follower of God ). It was really a wonderful day. Today I had school and that is so not cool. Tomorrow I have classes. Yuck. Well thats all for now folks. God Bless.

End of the Spear

Hey everyone!!!!!! Today I went to END OF THE SPEAR with my dad and brother. That movie is very powerful. I encourage everyone to go and see it (not little kids though it is very violent at the beginning). But, before you go and see it you should rent the documentary BEYOND THE GREATS OF SPLENDOR. After watch that end the END OF THE SPEAR I really had a great appreciation for the movie. It is remarkable. Thank goodness the room was dark, because I was just about crying the whole time. Oh, what those families had to go through. God is so amazing and powerful. What a wonderful works He can accomplish!!!!!! He amazes me more and more everyday!!!!! He is truly AWSOME!!!!! I always wondured why those five men didn't defend themselves, and now it is really clear. Nate Saint said that they would not shoot them if worse came to worse because the Aucas were not ready to die, but those five missionaries were. Oh what a testamony they are to us. I want and am going to strive to be like them everyday. May the Lord's will be done. It sure was fifty years ago. I pray for you always. God Bless.

Benjamin Franklin

Hey everyone!!!!!! Today was pretty good. It was really busy and I didn't get all of my work done. ugh. That means extra tommorrow. I had writting class today. We have to write a paper on some person who was active in the Revolutionary War. I thought I was going to be real smart and pick Benjamin Franklin, thinking not many people would know about his influence over in France. I was so stupid. My teacher had past out a sheet which explained our homework as well as a list of ten people as suggestions of who we could do. Bejamin Franklin was the third name on the list!!!!!!! Needless to say, me and atleast five to seven others are writing on the same guy. There goes my individuality. Oh well. I can master somewhere else. Prayer Meeting was canceled tonight do to illness ( thankfully not the pastor's ), so here I am, stuck at home reading Plutarch's Lives, I am really getting sick of it. As soon as I have the asigned reading done I am aloud to do my leisure reading. Like that is ever going to happen tonight. I have seventy pages to read. It was a pretty great day. All day my spirits have been up and I have been praising my God and Savior. Oh, if only everyday could be like this, even those bad weather days. I can do it with the Lord's help. Well, I'll write more later, Lord willin. God Bless.

Classes

I had classes today. Booohooo I now have a whole lot of homework on my shoulders and it is no fun. Who ever came up with the idea of school. Boo, whatever his name is. Although there are some aspects of school I like ( I know I am kind of weird but oh well ), Math has got to be the worst ever invented.
Not much else going on today. I am going to settle into some nice quite and resting leisurely reading. Oh what a joy.
This morning I had my speech class. I was put in a group of three other boys and we had to draw a topic ( ours being why writing is so fasinating ) and make up a persuasive speech on it in twenty minutes and then persent it. Ours was depressing. Our three points:

1) Writing is Fascinating because you can use cool pens
2) Writing is Fascinating because it helps us communicate with the deaf
3) Writing is Fascinating because if you become a journalist you can write nonsence and become famous

Along with the speech we had to incorprate a personal story which the boys made up on their own:
There once was a man who was deaf who was standing on a plane runway. Another guy wrote the deaf man a note to let him know a plane was comeing in. Unfortanetly, they did not know that the man was blind as well and couldn't read the note. Needless to say, the blind and deaf man died.
Tear jerking isn't? I made it sound better, by putting it into clear english. We won! I will never understand what the public wants.
Well, I have to go now. Until a later date. God Bless.

Time is ALWAYS on our Side

Hey Everyone!!!!!!!!

Haven't posted in a while because I have been really busy. I have now finished all of my papers ( although I got a little behind and pretty much did them all today ). Whooo. Classes all day tomorrow. yuck. I am done with school and I feel so good. No big papers on my back and I can enjoy the rest of my day. Well, I do have about 55 pages left in my book Plutarch's Lives. I do not recommend reading this unless you want a real bad head ache. It is for my history/philospohy/lititure class.

We had a lot of fun Friday night!!!!!! My dad absolutley refused to play spoons with us ( he couldn't stand the thought of losing to Natalie again ) jk. We ended up playing Pit. That is one of the best games ever. That is before you lose your voice. On Saturday I did my chores and read a whole book, as well as work on my evolution paper a bit. Yesturday was Sunday as most you hopefully have realised by now. Half of the church was sick but it still was a great day. I learned so much from the sermons. In the morning we talked about and studied abortion, and in the evening the sermon was on 1 Timothy 5: 19-22, in which we learned how we should support our elders and pay them double honor. I also learned that Time is ALWAYS on our Side .

Well there you have it. Nothing much else going on here. Were keeping up on life, so that is a great thing. God Bless.

life

Classes went pretty well yesturday. I have a lot of work to do this week, but I think I can handle it. For Biology I have to study Ecology and write a paper on evolution and conclued with my stand on it. I also have to write a persuasive speech on why naps are good for you (oh the joy in life) . I also need to pick a person I want to write a report about who was active in the revolutionary war. hmmmmmmmmm........... that is not even what I am studying. I am studying the ancient world.
The weekend is half way here and I can't wait. I get to sleep in!!!!!! ooh, the luxery!!!! I am going to hang out with my friends on Friday night and most likely play spoons (it can get pretty heated)
Nothing else much is going on with my life. The second semester has started at school, so the frenzied week of exams is over. What a relief. I love these smiley face thingys. They are so cool. lol
Well, I'll write more later. God Bless.

Competition

Hey everyone!!!!!!! Thank you for all of your prayers they really helped a lot!!!!! I was able to get through the three times that I had to give my speech with no problem; not until the last line of my third time through did I notice my throat getting really dry and sore. Everything went really well, and everyone did fantastic!!!!!! Lydia and Alyssa were absolutely wonderful!!!!!! I love speech!!!!!!!! The next competition is on February 11. Oh, I can't wait. I am really excited, because every time I get judged I find new ways I can improve my speech and make it better. I won third place!!! When my name was called, my mom let a gasping "ohhhhhhhh" and kind of jumped in her seat and me ,well, I don't remember that much. I was trying to get out of the pew and tripped on a backpack, then I went and got my certificate and returned all shaky. It was great.

Today, I page turned for a dad who was accompanied his son on the cello and earned some mula. And this afternoon I made some cookies as well as dinner for my mom, sisters, and me. It was kind of crazy. Well I have to go now. I hope you all have a wonderful week, and will blog soon. God Bless.

Speechless

Well, I am back everyone, infact I have been back for about a week in a half. Things have been pretty crazing around here, but are now starting to cool off.

The family is sick again. I went to all means possible ( that being I still have to share a bedroom with two of the sickys) not to get sick, takeing pills washing my hands, secluding myself, but all that hard work has gone to no good. I am sick, and there is no question about that. This absolutley one of the worst weekends to get sick, because the first speech competition is on Saturday!!!!!!!!! I would appreciate you prayers for me right now. I am losing my voice and have been banned from speaking, so I might still have a little bit of it left on Saturday. Why must all my good friends of life portray me for a fork and a spoon? My voice is jumping the gait to go party with my book and the fork and the spoon who torment my life!!!!!!!!!! Another thing is, without a voice have not been able to practice my speech out loud and that is a big problem, it being that it still needs a lot of work. Please pray. Mrs. A always tells us to go pre-prayed before we do competition. I could really use all of your help.

Secondly, I would like to thank the anomounus person out there who sent me a very sweet and encourgeing letter today. I have a little feeling that whoever did so, reads this blog. So thank you very, very, very, very much. I loved it!
