Well, camp is a week away and I can't wait. I am going with my friend from school who has been there many times (:this is my first time going to this camp:). Today my mom took me to the Doc so that they could check on my ankle again ( the healing process is not going as fast as we hoped). Thankfully my Doctor was biased towards church camp and was raring for me to go. My ankle is still classified as injured and I have been band from doing my exercises until it is healed, then I am aloud to strengthen it. She gave me three choices of what to do for the time being ( she thinks the splint is not enough support by its self). These were my three choices: 1. Cast it and be on crutches for a week ( if I weren't going to camp we might of had to consider this, but thankfully I got out of that one) 2. put me in a boot ( we were leaning towards this one because it would keep me moblized and my ankle very supported, the problem is that at camp there is a lot of walking and the mess hall is up a hill. Also the boot is bulky and hot as well as heavy.) 3. Where the splint with a ace wrap underneath it and sleep in the ace wrap ( this is the one we are applying right now at the moment. It also means I always have to wear tennis shoes. And that leads to another little problem, and that is I need shoes that can fit this big contraption on my foot. Well we'll figure it out. )
tomorrow I am meeting with my friend about making lists for camp. (: she doesn't know it yet but I have to train her to be able to help me wrap my ankle up if need be:) This should be interesting.
