Hey Everyone!!!!! Church went very well today. Lydia woke up with a stuffy nose (which kept me up most of the night, sometimes I just wish I could blow it for her so we could all go to sleep) so my parents had to switch off going to the services. In Sunday school we had a prayer meeting and prayed for the persecuted church and for the world leaders. The morning service was on John 8: 37 to the end of the chapter. Uncle Dave talked about how Jesus said that the Jews were not the children of His Father but the children of the Devil. In the evening the sermon was on Job 1-3. It was most excellant. It is such a comfort to know that Satan is not free to do whatsoever he pleases, but most first receive permission from the Lord of All. We also learned that it is not only those who sin who find trials come down on their lives but the truly godly men and women, and we learned how we ought to react when we are faced with various trials. After He had lost all his wealth and ten children Job still praised the Lord. "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there, the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord." I pray that that would be my answer when I find my self in trial. We also sang this hymn today that really struck me and made me think; Here are some selected verse.
1. What-e'er my God ordains is right:
Holy his will abideth;
I will be still whate'er He doth,
And follow where He guideth:
He is my God; Though dark my road,
he holds me that I shall not fall:
Wherefore to Him I leave it all.
4. What-e'er my God ordains is right:
He shall my stand be taken;
Though sorrow, need, or death be mine, Yet am I not forsaken;
My Father's care is around me there;
He holds me that I shall not fall;
And so to Him I leave it all.
A full week of school is now coming up. Blahhhh. Oh well, I only have a month and a half to go. Nothing much else going on around here, I might be looking for a summer job, but it is really hard to get a job when you are only fifteen so I might just send out some babysitting fliers. Well, thats if for now. God Bless.

Elizabeth! My name is Brooke! You probably don't remember me because I haven't seen you in ions. Our next phone call will have to last 2 days because we have so much missed time to catch up on.
I haven't forgotten you! I miss you and want to get together sometime (we both have birthdays to celebrate!). I'm sorry for not fitting our 2 day telephone conversation into my schedule yet, I'm planning to soon!! :-)
Don't you just love encouraging sermons? It puts you on the right track for the week. I love church!
Poor Lydia. She's probably 5 feet tall, I haven't seen her in so long. I hope she feels better!
