Hey Everyone! Hows it going? Well my family and I got back from MI on July 14. It was a really great time although I did miss my dad and (I have to say it) Dan. We some great times at my grandparents lake which was really warm!!!!! Yippee! It was really cool hanging out with my cousins who we only get to see about once a year to.
Well, one of the days when we were with my C. cousins we all went to Michigan Adventure (their equivalent to Valley Fair) with a few other families from their church. It was really great. In the morning Abbie and I spent three house going on only three rides, because the lines were insanely long!!!!!!!!!!! It was really warm out that day so in the afternoon we hung out in the water park where there were so many amazing slides and things to do, including 2 wave pools. Well, as we were swimming it began to drizzle but we didn't really mind because we were all wet anyway. Around supper time we went to change into dry clothes and when we came out of the dressing room it was raining like crazy!!! Of all days! MI (atleast in the area we were in) had been in a drought since the beginning of June and it picks the day we are at a amusement park to start raining. Well, we went to the parking lot to retrieve some sweat shirts and held a little conference. Everyone was leaving so we just decided to stay, because they would only shut down the rides if there was lightning. We threw on sweatshirt and went at it. We went on one roller-coaster 12 times (shivering timbers) and on some water rides which soaked us all the way through, but it was so much fun. NO LINES!!!!! There were only 6 cars in the parking lot and 2 or them were ours. lol Well, we stayed until 9 p.m. when the closed the place. Then went back to my cousins took a shower and watched The Wedding Planner. It was great.
The drive home on Friday wasn't very pleasant though. It down pored and our windshield wipers broke and got the other one stuck. So my mom pulled over on the side of the freeway and I had to fix it. It is really scary standing on the side of the road with a semi five feet away going 70 m/hr!! And then Joben decided to cry most of the way. But thankfully we got home in one piece.
Today I am at charge at home because mom and Dan are at a full day collage thing and my dad is out of town. It has been interesting. Thankfully the only scar of today might be the blisters on Lydia's nuckles but that's a whole different story. Well I got to go. I promised the kids we would watch Pirates of the Caribean. God Bless
